Council member Brenda Jones will be hosting a skilled trades task force meeting.
The meeting will be held Tuesday May 27 from 4pm-6pm at 2 Woodward avenue on the 13th floor.
The stated purpose of the meeting is “to bring together members of the the skilled trade industries and persons seeking to obtain opportunities in construction and other skilled trade industries”

The city will collect yard waste placed in paper bags on your regular trash collection day. The city will NOT collect yard waste on bulk collection day.
Yard waste placed in plastic bags WILL NOT be picked up at any time, nor should it be taken to the Southfield Yard. The plastic is not biodegradable like the brown paper bags.
Yard waste may also be placed in personal cans that do not exceed 32 gallons.
Tree limbs should be less than 2 inches in diameter and no more than 4 feet long, in a neat pile.
Bulk Waste: The one cubic yard limit (about the size of a washing machine) limit is still in effect for bulk waste.
